Alice in wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is my favourite disney film. A lot of people share this too but i love the crazy illustrations of Sir John Tenniel  i think its pretty wonderful how simply black and white drawings can be so intricate and very inspiring.

Im totally obsessed with war time family photos. this is my favourite of all that i have sourced its from a old orphanage where the  children who's parents had died where sent to. i could see this being a fantastic print and nice in a frame.

Lesley Dill

Dill is an amazing textiles artist her use of words to sum up the emotions of individuals is a constant theme through out. i used this artist as part of textiles projects. i think the use of very muted colours in contrast with the harsh black is really impressive.

.

The blog i have created is just something really to keep me up to date with my personal thoughts and finds as i go through life. As you can tell my grandma is my inspiration behind the textiles concept and she is a constant feature throughout these posts.
enjoy anyways

Grannie Grunt is a young 1950s teenager
She loves buying nicks nacks and hording all her mothers treasures so that one day she can pass it on to her children and so forth.
Not only does she collect antiques but she loves loves to renovate herself with her knitted garments and clothing treasures that she gets from her grandmother.
Sewing, anything D.I.Y u name it Grannie Grunt does it.
Unfortunatley Grannie Grunt is now a senior and her amazing finds she collects and the tricks of the trade are now passed on to her Grandaughter.
She sells her finds and treasures as well as making lots of goodies for the perfect home.
